On August 4, 2010 our hearts broke as we heard the Dr. say "she has anencephaly...these babies don't live" at our 19 wk ultrasound. The Dr. is wrong. Our precious daughter's time on earth may be short, but she will live for eternity with our Lord in heaven. During the few months we have her here with us, we intend to make the most of every second of it. Our hope is that she will leave behind more than a few short memories, but that she will leave a legacy of what it means to hope in Jesus.

Check Out Our New Photos!
We had another session of pregnancy photos done back at the beginning of November. Our friend Luke Smith, of Living Proof Studios in Dover, NH did them. (He did our wedding photos too!) I put another slideshow with these pictures on the right side of the blog with some of my favorites. Anyone who knows me, knows I'm a picture feind... and we are SO grateful to have so many beautiful photos to remember this time. I'm going to put contact info for both Luke and Kelly (did our last photos) - that way if you're ever in need of beautiful photos, you'll know who to call! Both of them have also graciously offered to come to the hospital and take photos of our time with Rachel as well. 36 hours from now we'll be meeting our girl! Can't wait!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. There´s so much love around Rachel.
ReplyDeleteI like the photo where you are standing, and Rachel is in the middle of the whole family. It´s like a flower and she is the center...

We continue to unite our hearts with yours as we have followed Rachel's legacy over the weeks and months since we first heard of your precious life altering little girl. Luke was given a gift from the Lord to capture all your lives and hearts in these photos. We anticipate Rachel's arrival tomorrow and say with you and the Shepherd King - "No matter what, I will hope continually and I will praise You yet more and more." (Ps 71:14) Sharon and Ron
ReplyDeleteThose photo's are so beautiful, they did a great job taking them. Rachel is so lucky to have all of you. You and your whole family are in my prayers and especially your precious baby Rachel.
