This is a comment I just received on my You Tube video of Rachel's birthday. There have been well over 10,000 views and I have never seen a negative one - but this was a tough day to get it.
Mean person says:
"This is pathetic. I cannot believe you wasted health care dollars on this. Shame on you. May whatever god you believe in judge you and your family for parading this poor thing around."
My response:
"SHE is not a "poor thing" - SHE is my DAUGHTER and I was not parading her around, I was LOVING her, something you apparently have not experienced much of in your life to say such a horrible thing to a grieving mother about her child. I'm not the one who should be ashamed. Watch something else if you don't like it."
Bastard.
That's such a horrible thing to say to anyone, let alone a grieving mother.
ReplyDeleteSending hugs your way - we love you and I am so sorry that you have had to deal with this person.
You have got to be kidding!!! I can't believe someone would say that. I'm sorry that you had to deal with that today. How awful. Praying for peace of mind for you tonight - and in the coming days as you prepare for Asa's arrival.
ReplyDeleteRachels life as well as your willingness to openly & honestly share her and your heart with the world has taught so many so much. The blending of her tiny soul and your heart wrenching grief has awakened and enlightened many lethargic people and encouraged them to be more loving and appreciative in their own little worlds. A beautiful ripple effect few achieve. You should be very proud.
ReplyDeleteWhomever wrote the post is also the type of person who believes those diagnosed with cancer should save those healthcare dollars for others and go directly into Hospice - that is until they are diagnosed with a life threatening illness. I suspect their ignorance would make an abrupt about-face.
I agree with you that this person must not have experienced much love in their life. Rachel was SO lucky to have you as her mom and to be so very loved during her time on earth and still loved in Heaven. The person who commented on your video obviously needs some prayer that they will somehow, someday come to know Jesus as their Savior and experience the marvelous love of God that you already have in your heart and that Rachel is in the presence of for eternity!
ReplyDeleteOh Stac,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you had to view a comment of someone so ignorant. You didn't deserve to have to defend your acts of love to your sweet girl yet again. I'll be praying for you as well as the person who could comment such cruel things.
I am so sorry that there are so many cruel people out there. Just remember the saying you reap what you sow. They will have to answer for what they have said and done. I love watching her video. You are a very inspiring mommy to me and I am praying for you daily.
ReplyDeleteAwww Stacey, I don't know how anyone could ever say such a thing unless they have been hurt beyond understanding and have no feelings left in their body.
ReplyDeletePraying for your broken heart tonight. I love you and Rachel. You are both precious to me and so many others, and more importantly to God!
Love and hugs....
Stacy, as much as it pains us all to imagine there are people out there who think like this mean person, believe me, there are. I've heard people say that "caring for my niece Vitoria is a waste of resources, because she is obviously not getting anywhere and such resources could be used to help children who actually have a future". And that has been said about a child who is almost 2 years old, who breathes on her own, eats through her mouth, lived disease free for 16 months at home, until this horrible septic shock episode. Unfortunately, a lot of people disagree with a pro-life approach. I am really sorry you had to read that. You do not deserve it. We all acknowledged Rachel's life and respect her memory. Love, Ivana
ReplyDeleteOh what a complete F-HEAD!! I want to punch him or her through the screen right now. I can't beleive there are people in this world like that.
ReplyDeleteHe's obviously the 'poor thing'
Oh hun, I'm so sorry you had to read that. What a jerk. You know its just not true at all, and that Rachel's life was nothing less than a blessing.
Love you.
I cannot believe that someone would be so heartless as to say these things to you. Mean is an understatement! Ignorant describes this person perfectly. This IS pathetic! THAT PERSON IS PATHETIC! That pathetic person who complains about wasted health care dollars is probably one of those pathetic people the state supports and wastes its welfare dollars on! Shame on them. Karma is a wonderful thing though and will come around. You are sooo right, Rachel is not a poor thing, she IS your daughter and one very lucky little girl to have such a beautiful, selfless and loving momma!
ReplyDeleteStacy, your mom said "Rachels life as well as your willingness to openly & honestly share her and your heart with the world has taught so many so much". She is sooo right! And you SHOULD be very proud!
BIG hugs!
You tell 'em, Stacy!
ReplyDeleteJerk!
mean people suck.
ReplyDelete:(
Love you so much!
I honestly can't believe there is a human being that could be this cruel...I am so sorry! You and Rachel continue to inspire many!!
ReplyDeletePraying for you and for this person too...
ReplyDeleteHugs and love to you, may our God console you! anja
