2013 Photo Book

I finally got around to making a photo book of our vacation last year.  I make a book each year and it's the only thing I've managed to keep up with as far as photos and memories go as we have added children to our family.  I had a coupon for a free book that expired at midnight, so I wasn't able to make it detailed and cute like I usually do, but was actually kind of liberated by being able to let go of my overachiever perfectionist style and just get it done.  So, here it is... nothing too fancy, but we won't have a gap in years on our bookshelf!  And I can't believe how fast the kids are growing.  Much too fast for my heart.  Of course God had "Rachel" all over this trip as usual....

  1. Good evening,
I'd like to start by noting that commenting on anything I find on the Internet is never ever something I do. I engage on Facebook with family and friends and that's it. However, tonight, God led me to your blog after a search about anencephaly. To be completely frank, your passion and deep trust in The Lord is just so incredible. I am in awe and admiration of you and your family. Though I have only "known" you through this last hour of reading and crying and rejoicing in your trials and triumphs, your story has deeply affected me and my faith. Though I have only "known" you through this last hour of reading and crying and rejoicing in your trials and triumphs, your story has deeply affected me and my faith. I am a mother of two, my youngest is just under three months old (and sleeping next to me as I type this) and they are both my world. Unconditional love completely. I found your blog because on Facebook tonight, I read of another family who is facing this tribulation. I have wondered many times what I would choose if faced with this decision. I've bounced back and forth any number of logical, ethical, and spiritual reasons. Making that decision, however, has not been something that life has given me. What I know now -- what Rachel's life and story has taught me -- is that the spiritual reasons are all that matters. God has so blessed the world with her incredible, despite how brief, life and has in turn blessed you and your family with the strength and ability to carry on her legacy.
I admire the woman of God you are and the man of God your married. Through your story I promise to also carry on Rachel's story and the conviction that all life is precious no matter the circumstance. I do not foresee myself having anymore children, but I have four siblings and countless friends that will be beginning their families in the years to come and I vow to be the best support system for any of them who may face this trial.
Thank you, thank you for allowing God to come through you to me. I am going to hold my babies tighter ad love them harder for you and baby Rachel.
God bless you and I pray as well for your health and healing. God's not done working miracles in your life, I truly believe that.
